Living Wills, Healthcare, Powers of Attorney and H.I.P.A.A.

A Living Will is a dinosaur, not anywhere as good as a Healthcare Power of Attorney.

Why? When the doctor asks about starting a respirator, or starting dialysis, or whether or not to operate, none of these are covered by the Georgia Living Will. All of these -- and everything else -- are covered by the Healthcare Power of Attorney.

Other people and organizations have designed living wills with features which may work, but beware cheap imitations from do-gooders. The safest way to get what you need is to use the Georgia Healthcare Power of Attorney . . .

. . . with an add-on. Because of H.I.P.A.A., the new Federal act on patient privacy, a healthcare provider may not talk to you about starting that respirator, starting dialysis, or whether or not to operate. They face a fine, and civil and criminal penalties if they do so, if you don't have H.I.P.A.A. authorization.

We've designed cutting-edge documents to get you that H.I.P.A.A. Authorization. Contact us about seeing which document would work best.
